Service employees at the trainstation, we have all met one up close. Whether it was to guide us to the correct platform, assisting the handicapped with boarding a train or simply someone who we can buy our trainticket at. In the olde days you could find these service employees (back then still known as ticket clercs) at just about every Dutch Railway station, but with the emergence of ticket machines, E-tickets and the Mobile app(s) we see fewer and fewer of these heroes of the trainstation.
This Trainstationsign keychain is 10cm long and 1,7cm high, and comes fitted with a keyring. The keychain is embroiderd on both sides so it doesn't matter which side is up, it is always the prettiest one!
On the 9th of december 2020 the Dutch Railways announced that out of the 36 trainstations that still hold a permanent Tickets & Servicedesk (out of the well over 400 trainstations that can be found in the Netherlands) they want to reduce this number to 15. This is grim news to be told so shortly before the holidays for everyone who works in this occupation. It is estimated that about 300 fulltime jobs will be lost. JJPins has a yellow and blue heartshaped soft spot for these TrainstationHeroes and will support them where we can. This is why these keychains are sold for just €2,-
