The Loc NS 3737 is the most wellknown steamlocomotive in the Netherlands. This 3737 who due to it's massive power for that time gained the nickname Jumbo (these Jumbo's were twice as strong as their most recent predecessors) is the very first steamtrain that has been built within the Netherlands from start to finish. It is also the very last steamtrain that was in the service of the Dutch Railways after electrified railways conquered the nation. It's last ride was in january 1958 from Geldermalsen to the Maliebaan station in Utrecht where the railway museum already was located. After close to 47 years of loyal service the 3737 has been added to the collection of the railway museum where it still remains today as one of it's showpieces.
